Well, it's been a few days since I posted anything, but I doubt anyone has noticed.... I'm still doing a lot of "thinking" about how to actually go about this. I've been keeping busy at work and trying to stay cool in the wonderland of sand in Afghanistan. My internet connection has been unreliable lately, and updating the website is very difficult at times, However, I've been doing a little more "pickin' and grinnin' with my guitar. I think most of my coworkers are wishing I'd get back to working on the website.... At any rate, for those who are following this; thanks! We still have time..... You know, I think I need to put a countdown calendar on here. Now I've got to figure out how to do that.. By the way, I'm still waiting for my first comment on a blog entry.

I was talking to my friend Bobby Evans out in Amarillo, TX via Facebook. When I told him about my goal he thought is was cool. Then he saw my facebook fan page. After his initial "Wow! You are serious aren't you?" He immediately took ownership of the idea as well. Every comment after that began with "WE". I think he is as excited about it as I am. Then my friend, Buddy Scoggins, who is working with me here in Afghanistan says, "You are going to need a full time manager" to which I replied "good idea, how'd you like the job?" He then says "what ever you need, I'll do what I can! Aint it great to have good friends? This is going to work because of many people like Bobby and Buddy! So far everyone I have mentioned this to has offered me encouragement. I have been blessed with amazing friends! One of these days I am going to have to really start promoting this. I hope it is as well recieved by the masses! God Bless!
Well, it's official. Everybody around me knows I've lost my mind. I feel like the poster child for the old saying "better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and leave not doubt". At any rate, I have shared the site with a few of my friends. Overall everbody seemed to think it is very good! In fact, most said it looked very professional and couldn't believe that a man of limited abilities like myself created it on my own. I can only thank the free weebly site for that. Anyway, I have gotten a lot of encouragement and "you can do its", but not one of my friends have offered up any money yet. Whats up with that? I'm not ready to accept donations yet anyway, but....come on, humor me a little. Actually, I know my friends are looking out for me because I did have one friend from Deming, NM offer me ( via facebook) a "redneck relief tube". Let's just say that it's purpose would be to allow me to drink coffee without concern for facilities. She also mentioned a reservoir in my boot. Sounds exactly like something I've always wanted. Really! This is my first attempt at creating a website for my 50th birthday event. Yes, I'm really planning to fly 50 seperate aircraft on my 50th birthday 12-12-12. I'm not a web professional and I did this site on Weebly .com because it was free and I needed to identify some of the issues before I find a real web developer to help me out. If you are one...HELP! As for the rest of it, stay tuned and thanks for reading this. I promise to get more creative in my writing if any body actually wants to read what I write!
